Joe is a highly skilled Program Manager (PM) / Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with over 25 years of government experience in healthcare administration, information management, and healthcare technology. He previously worked as VA Program Manager for Veterans Health Information Exchange (VHIE/VLER) Implementation, Joint VA/DOD Interoperability, and Private Sector Interoperability/Sharing. He is a retired Navy Medical Service Corps, Health Information Systems Officer with experience in numerous health care and technology administrator positions including Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Naval Hospital Great Lakes, Illinois, where he was awarded the Navy Medicine CIO of the year award in 2005. He also helped lead the technology planning and activation of The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), a first-of-its-kind partnership between the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense (DoD). Previous positions include Director of Naval Officer Recruiting Station Madison, Healthcare Administrator at National Naval Medical Center, Department Head Network Operations at Naval Medical Information Management Center, and Healthcare Administrator at Naval Dental Research Institute. Joe holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management.
Chuck brings both government and commercial experience in healthcare administration, information management, and information technology. His experience includes Navy Medical Service Corps, Health Information Systems Officer, and Navy Fellow at Department of Veterans Affairs OI&T Enterprise Architecture Management, Engineering Quality Service. Chuck served in multiple staff organizations including the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Office at Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and facility CIO positions at US Naval Hospital Sigonella and US Naval Hospital Okinawa. Following a 23-year Navy career his work included leadership positions at a commercial patient engagement software firm and IS&T Business Operations at a commercial healthcare system, where he led strategic finance and overall contracts management for the operation. Chuck holds a Master of Science in Information Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management.
